Texas, then Oklahoma / The 6th Day

The Sixth Day: This part of the race has almost no change of scenery. It is pure boredom: Simply up and down, up and down, again and again. Sakurai had only a few minutes of rest on the road side, no real sleep since Colorado. After Time Station 32, his mileage reached 1,800. He had his second "big" rest of 3 hours, for sleep to keep his average speed high.

True racing starts after the Mississippi River. In a final spurt, he tries to minimize the gap between the top finisher. Sakurai pushes hard but even the crew has become tired and sleepy.
